CNC Router Service
Western CNC is one of five authorized US regional service points for DMS CNC Routers. The service points are strategically located in order to provide the most prompt response time to a request for service across the US. Service scope includes all aspects of machine repair, warranty service, Fagor CNC Control upgrades and any available machine retrofits.
Machine Installation
Factory trained and certified field engineers are available to install your new DMS CNC Router. Machine performance upon installation can only be guaranteed if the machine is installed by authorized personnel.
Installation services include verification of machine placement, assembly to the ready-to-operate state if required, leveling, mechanical alignment, full inspection of all systems, initial power up, functional testing of all included optional equipment and complete machine performance verification to factory criteria.
For high accuracy application requirements such as aerospace, the customer can contract with a qualified laser metrology service to provide real time axes position data. The true position information from the laser measurement system is used for precise mechanical structure alignment and as input to electronically compensate position errors in any axis from within the Fagor CNC controller Cross Compensation tables. This procedure will require additional time beyond the scope of a basic installation.
On-Site Training Program
Your operators and programmers will be professionally trained in your facility, on your machine using your parts for training examples. Typical training sessions are 1 to 2 days after installation.
The program is structured to make efficient use of the time you have allocated for training your personnel.
Programming, Operation & Maintenance Manual: This comprehensive manual is prepared and tailored to include all options included on your machine. The manual is designed to be not only a training aid, but a ready reference for your operators after training is complete. Briefly, the contents include:
Basic CNC Programming: A tutorial summary of the CNC programming instructions executed by the Fagor CNC Controller including ISO G-Codes, M-Codes, Work Coordinate Offsets, Tool Compensation Codes, Canned Cycles as well as Basic Parametric and High Level programming features. Use of a conference room venue is recommended for this phase of the training program.
Controller Operation: Complete instruction and hands on training in all aspects of machine operation using any options included on the Router and routine user interaction with the Fagor CNC Controller; CNC program generation, modification and file management features unique to the Fagor CNC.
Communication Options: Installation and use of the Windows® based Fagor WinDNC communication and file management software application and Ethernet option setup.
Machine Maintenance: A complete description of all maintenance points on the machine including factory recommended service interval schedules.
CAD/CAM INTEGRATION ASSISTANCE:
Western CNC will work with the technical staff of your CAD/CAM supplier before, during and after training to ensure that any post-processor modifications are implemented to your satisfaction and fully tested on your machine.
POST TRAINING SUPPORT:
Western CNC will remain available for telephone support and prompt response to any questions your personnel may have regarding operation, programming or use of the machine.
DMS Extended Service Plan (E.S.P.)
CNC Router technology has advanced dramatically and the rate of change is increasing. A machine purchased today may be at a competitive disadvantage to newer machines in just a few years.
As your CNC router manufacturer, DMS protects you by offering ongoing system software and hardware updates. The Extended Service Plan offers these updates at the lowest possible cost. Typical system software updates, normally $2,500 for each update, are included free of charge for member companies. Savings on software upgrades or discounts on replacement parts and supplies alone can easily pay for membership in the Extended Service Plan.
As a DMS customer you already know how extremely reliable DMS machines are, but even the healthiest people invest in health insurance. As a member of the Extended Service Plan, your DMS Router is covered by an ongoing limited warranty, both parts and labor. For as long as you remain on the program, all defective control system parts are free. Should you need service labor to repair or replace a control system part, you simply pay for travel expenses and the labor is free.
In fact, service labor required to repair or replace any part of the machine found to be defective is free under the program (Labor Warranties apply to machines which are connected to Remote Diagnostic Service and reside in the U.S. only). And if you require other repair parts for your DMS Router, they are available at a 20% discount. A single major problem can easily pay for the program for several years.
DMS operates the Extended Service Plan for two purposes: to keep your DMS CNC router updated and competitive and to insure against major expenses for repair. The underlying goal of the entire plan is to do these things at the lowest possible cost to you, the DMS client.
DMS offers this coverage at a very affordable yearly fee per machine.
