Fagor Model 8055M CNC Control System
As a standard, DMS offers the Fagor 8055M series CNC controller on all of its 3 and 5 axis CNC Routers. The system features a high speed dedicated CPU/Math-coprocessor core architecture with integrated PLC. The 8055 is designed for machining high speed, accurate 3 and 5 axis tool paths and contours with block processing speeds less than 2 ms with 75 block look ahead.
The controller is fully compatible with all popular 5 axis CAD/CAM post processor NC output files. Programming tools featured with the Model 8055 include ISO G & M code, conventional canned cycles, high level instructions, parametric assignments and multi-level subroutine capability.

Look Ahead with Programmable Error Tolerance (G51):
Some CAD/CAM post processed output files are generated from a surface, digitized image or contour that is comprised of very small line segments joined together to best represent the object model geometry. Attempting to machine this coarse tool path would normally result in very low machining speed and a rough surface or edge finish. Use of G51 allows the programmer to define the acceptable error at the intersection of the line segments resulting in a faster tool path and greatly improved surface finish.
5-Axis Tool Length Compensation and Machining (TCP):
The TCP (Tool Center Point) function improves part finish by making the tool tip follow the programmed profile regardless of the length and orientation of the tool. Using TCP, a profile may be machined maintaining the tool perpendicular to the tool path at all times.

Fagor Model 8070M CNC Control System
For the most demanding 5 Axis performance and accuracy requirements, DMS offers the optional Fagor 8070M CNC Controller. The controller is a high performance, industrial PC based platform with integrated PLC. The 8070 is designed for machining high speed, accurate 5 axis tool paths and contours with block processing speeds lower than 1 ms with 200 block look ahead.
The Model 8070 also features programmable filters for all axes that can be individually tuned to cancel out oscillations due to the machine’s natural structural frequencies and prevent them from negatively affecting machining operations and ultimate cut quality or accuracy.
The controller is fully compatible with all popular 5 axis CAD/CAM post processor NC output files. Programming tools featured with the Model 8070 include ISO G & M code, conventional canned cycles, high level instructions, parametric assignments and multi-level subroutine capability.

High Speed Machining (HSC)
High speed algorithms optimize machining by obtaining higher cutting speed, smoother contours, better part surface finish, greater accuracy and better reproduction of the programmed tool path. HSC command features a user programmable error tolerance variable.
